Latest press release
THE HAGUE, April 26th 2018, EventBranche.nl - Aside from organising incentives and events world-wide, Rocket Fuel Events also operates as Destination Management Company (DMC) The Hague.
To properly promote this beautiful city behind the dunes, Rocket Fuel Events has previously set up a ‘Rock & Royal’ event in collaboration with, among others, the famed Hague hotel Des Indes and Hague musicians Cesar Zuiderwijk and Michael Varekamp.
Just last month, Rocket Fuel Events introduced hundreds of guests to The Hague during a large, international seminar by a French pharmaceutical company in The Hague World Forum.
From April 3 rd to 13th, Rocket Fuel Events was responsible for all logistical operations of the seminar, as well as for the hospitality both at arrival and during all activities and diner locations in The Hague and Rotterdam.
Rocket Fuel Events also created and organised an important part of the programme, as an addition to the seminar's strategic sessions. 1800 managers were assigned to ‘Learning Expeditions’, featuring an exploration of the core values of the customer. The participants got to know The Hague and its partner city Rotterdam in a distinctive manner.
Lectures by enthusiastic researchers
For instance, the participants discovered the Maurits House via a lecture by Abbie Vandivere, the lead researcher of the research project into the Girl with a Pearl Earring (1665, Johannes Vermeer). In the recently updated COMM museum, the participants listened to speaker Christian Kromme, who shined a light on the impact of technological developments on organisations and society. And on the Pier in Scheveningen, Marlies Draisma and Lars Folkers, two young and enthusiastic innovators in the sustainable seaweed sector, gave a lecture, while in Blue City Rotterdam Marc Slegers of Rotterzwam spoke about the inception of Blue City and the circular economy.
Gaining new experiences
At all locations, the guests switched between lectures and experiences by means of museum visits. To stay close to the pharmaceutical world, a seaweed tasting was organised near the Reuzenrad at the Pier. In Blue City, the participants followed a workshop to personally experience how mycelium can be used to make a new, sustainable product. The participating pharmaceutical companies already knew the Ganoderma Lucidum mushroom as a resource for developing medicines and were therefore incredibly enthusiastic about this wholly new experience.
Despite the short preparation time after winning the pitch in March, we can look back on a highly successful event where The Hague was once again placed on the international map.
Mice Peak The Hague June 7-10, 2018
